The European Individual Women's Chess Championship is drawing to a close. The penultimate round games were played.

In Round 10 Lilit Mkrtchyan succeeded in the game against Poland's Yolanda Zavatskaya, and is half a point behind the leader, Anna Ushenina. In the last round Mkrtchyan will face Ushenina.

The other Armenian representatives,Maria Kursova and Maria Gevorgyan, lost. Lilit Galoyan won.
