Armenia’s youth boxing team’s head coach Karen Aghamalyan in a conversation with an ANOC reporter spoke about Armenian boxers’ performances at the European Youth Boxing Championship.
“I am pleased with the performances, but I expected more medals. Our athletes were well prepared and could have won two more medals but for various reasons they didn’t succeed. There were equal bouts where the preference was given to an opponent but I don’t want to put the entire blame on the referees”, Aghamalyan noted.
At the European Youth Boxing Championship held from November 19 to 29 in the Polish city Kolobrzek, the Armenian boxers won a silver (Vahe Badalyan, 52kg) and a bronze (Alen Danielyan, 49kg) medal.
