2 members of the Armenian women’s boxing team prepare for the World Championships.
At the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship Armenia will be represented by Anush Grigoryan (51kg) and Ashkhen Hovhannisyan (60kg). These days the women’s team is having joint trainings with the men’s team.
The head coach of the women’s team, Harutyun Nazaryan, noted in a conversation with ANOC press service that the girls are in good shape and fighting spirit.
“The girls are in good shape and fighting spirit. We are leaving for the Championship in the hope of conquering a qualification. Training with the boys is very effective; they also help the girls with their experience. The ring will show what we will happen in Astana”, Nazaryan said.
Four Olympic qualifications will be raffled in every weight class of the World Championships
The championship will be held on May 15-28.
