Armenian gymnasts launch European Championships

The 32nd European Artistic Gymnastics Championships has kicked off in Bern, Switzerland. 

On May 26 senior gymnasts competed.
In the semifinal round Armenia performed in the first group where 8 countries were competing (Hungary, Israel, Azerbaijan, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Latvia and Armenia). The Armenian team scoring 248, 702 points placed 1st in the group. Our gymnastics team takes part in the team competition for the first time.
The names of the finalists on different apparatus as well as their positions will come out at the end of the competition day.
Previously, Armenia’s Artur Avetisyan had placed 4th with 14, 166 points among juniors and had qualified for the finals.
The 32nd European Championships has brought together 311 athletes from different countries of the world - 155 juniors and 156 seniors.
It has kicked off on May 25 and will end on May 29.
