Armenian wrestlers have left for Serbia

Armenian Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling teams have left for Serbia to take part in an Olympic qualifier.

The freestyle wrestling team has left for the competition place led by head coach Arayik Baghdadyan and Greco-Roman wrestlers have been accompanied by coach Samvel Gevorgyan.

From the freestyle wrestling team Garnik Mnatcakanyan (57kg), Davit Safaryan (65kg), Suren Khachatryan (74kg), Musa Murtazaliev (86kg) and Edgar Yenokyan (97kg) will fight for the Rio Olympic qualifications. 

The Greco-Roman wrestling team has left with the following line-up – Roman Amoyan (59kg), Karapet Chalyan (75kg), Artur Shahinyan (85kg) and Edgar Khachatryan (130kg). 

Greco-Roman wrestlers Mihran Harutyunyan and Artur Aleksanyan have already gained qualifications, as for the freestyle wrestlers, Levan Berianidze (125kg) is the one who have got a qualification.

The tournament will be held in the Serbian Zrenjanin from April 15 to 17.
