The World Freestyle Wrestling Clubs Championship ended in Tehran, Iran where Armenia was represented by club “Tashir”. The Armenian club had topped Group C gaining advantage over Kyrgyzstan (6:2), Georgia (4:4, by points 19-15), Bulgaria (7:1).
In semifinal the Armenian freestyle wrestlers lost 2:6 to ‘’Titan Mercury’’ (USA). In the fight for the bronze medal the Armenian club was defeated by the Iranian ‘’Kefayati’’ 1:7.
The World Freestyle Wrestling Clubs Championship held on November 26-27 was attended by 15 clubs from Azerbaijan, USA, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Armenia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Georgia, Latin America and 4 clubs from Iran.
“Tashir” club’s members were Garnik Mnatcakanyan (57kg), Ervand Tadevosyan (61kg), Valodya Frangulyan (65kg), Valter Margaryan (70kg), Varuzhan Kajoyan (74kg), Vahe Tamrazyan (86kg), Edgar Yenokyan (97kg), Andranik Galstyan (125kg) and 4 Iranian athletes who were included by the host country.

Liana Gyurjyan (+81 kg) and Garnik Cholakyan (49 kg) were crowned European U17 champions.
