At the Weightlifting Youth World Championship ongoing in Las Vegas Armenia’s only woman representative Liana Gyurjyan became a silver medalist at 76 kg weight class.

The Armenian weightlifter registered a total result of 208 kg (92+116). The champion title was taken by Turkey’s representative Dilara Narin with a total result of 225 kg (96+129). Ecuador’s Bella Paredes came third with 200 kg (90+110).
Let us recall that the Armenia team had left for Las Vegas with three weightlifters. On March 12 Garik Karapetyan won silver at 89 kg and Gevorg Ghahramanyan– bronze.

The weightlifters had left for Las Vegas led by coaches Gevorg Davtyan and Vigen Khachatryan.
