The International Paralympic Committee rejected the application of including 23rd sport at the 2020 Olympics

The International Paralympic Committee rejected the application for including 23rd sport at the 2020 Olympics made by the International Sports Association.

Such decision was made at the IPC General Assembly in Mexico city. According to preliminary data the Paralympic Committee has included 22 sports for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The 23rd sport should have been football.

The 2020 Paralympics will be held in Japan from November 25 to September 6.
