15:15 - 30 Oct, 2015

The Armenian Junior Water Polo Championship has kicked off at the sports-health complex “Spitak”.Six teams take part in the Championship: “Neptun”, “Delfin”, “Titan”, “ORWP-Yerevan”, “Armada”, “Armada-2”.

“Our goal is to spread water polo among children. Unfortunately, water polo isn’t known so much in Armenia. 80 percent of our population doesn’t know to swim. For playing water polo one should know to swim. In water polo children physically develop more. But this type of sport doesn’t prosper in Armenia because we lack a base. We even pay for water”, told the president of Armenian Water Polo Federation, Ruben Hakobyan the ANOC reporter. The Armenian Junior Water Polo Championship finishes on November 1.
