Armenia’s boxing team member Hovhannes Bachkov (64kg) has got an opportunity to gain an Olympic qualification.
The International Boxing Federation (AIBA) has given a chance to professional boxers to participate in the Rio Olympic Games.
The professional boxers will take part in a qualifying tournament in Venezuela where the Armenian boxer will try to qualify for the Olympics.
As the head coach of the Armenia boxing team, Karen Aghamalyan, noted in a conversation with the ANOC press service, Bachkov has left for Venezuela with Coach Mekhak Ghazaryan. The weigh-in and draw events will take place on July 2.
The tournament will be held from July 3 to 8.
