Traditionally, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia in the framework of the IOC’s “Olympic Solidarity” program solemnly celebrated International Children’s Day.
The president of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan, personally attended the event and warmly congratulated children.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, first of all I’d like to congratulate children on International Children's Day. I wish them a carefree childhood and future. Seeing the innocent, tender smiles and shiny eyes of our children we should strive to ensure a happy childhood for them. Every year we organize this event in the framework of the International Olympic Committee’s “Olympic Solidarity” program the motto of which is “We are the future Olympians.” Our future champions are among these children. They should be able to raise our country's flag in international arenas and bring us the joy of victory. Once again I congratulate our children. May God guard us, you and our children,'' said ANOC President Gagik Tsarukyan.
The traditional event dedicated to International Children's Day was attended by 192 children from 24 preschool institutions of the 12 administrative districts of Yerevan and Ashtarak, Oshakan, Masis, Kasakh, Abovyan, Garni and Nor Hatchn.
