Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Hrachya Rostomyan considers a great honor to host the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting in Armenia.
“Such events are hold in countries that are given confidence. In recent years the NOC of Armenia works hard with the anti-doping organization. It’s a great honor to host the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting in Tsakhkadzor. NOC President Gagik Tsarukyan is a good example that it is possible to achieve fairly what you want”, Rostomyan said.
Speaking about Azerbaijan that has been left out of the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting, ANOC Secretary General stressed,” The fact that Azerbaijan has been left out of the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting shows the condition in which the Azerbaijan’s sport is. Luckily for us and unluckily for them, it has nothing to do with the Armenians. Azerbaijan’s exclusion was a long process and has nothing to do with the fact that the meeting is being held in Armenia. Azerbaijan’s anti-doping agency fails to control the anti-doping fight in the country”.
The Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting is attended by Georgia’s, Macedonia’s, Moldova’s Armenia’s, Montenegro’s and Albania’s anti-doping agencies’ representatives. The main purpose of the meeting is to improve the collaboration between member states of the Eastern Europe anti-doping agency. The conference is led by the head of Armenia’s anti-doping agency, Areg Hovhannisyan.
