Armenia’s chess team member Levon Aronyan came in fifth at the Candidates tournament held in Moscow.
In the last, 14th round of the tournament Aronyan’s opponent was Hikaru Nakamura. Aronyan played with black pieces. On the 33rd move the grand masters agreed to tie the game.
Aronyan gained 7 points and placed fifth.
The winner of the tournament became Sergey Karjakin who earned 8, 5 points of 14 possible and got the right to struggle for a champion title.
