Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestling team returned from the European Championship which was held in the Latvian capital Riga.

More than a hundred fans came from Gyumri and Yerevan to meet them. The team and, especially the new champion were given a warm reception in the airport.
Armenia Greco-Roman wrestling team came second in the team event of the European Championship. Besides, Artur Aleksanyan and Roman Amoyan grabbed silver medals, Varsham Boranyan became a European Champion and Karapet Chalyyan captured bronze.
