22 experts included in Winter Olympic Organising Committee

The International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) delegation has announced the creation of an organising committee after the first official visit to Italy’s Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo which will host the Winter Olympic Games in 2026.

The Organising Committee which will have 22 members will be led by Vincenzo Novari. Besides the chief executive of the Organising Committee and Italian government representative 10 more sports and local experts were included in the committee. The first event of the Organising Committee was the meeting with Games Coordination Commission Chair, former athlete, two-time Olympic participant, IOC member Sari Essayah.
The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22. Last time Italy hosted the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2008.
