Armenia team loses, women’s team wins

In the 7th round of the European Team Chess Championship being held in Batumi, Georgia, the Armenia team lost 1.5։2.5 to England.

Levon Aronyan, Gabriel Sargsyan and Hrant Melkumyan tied their matches while Hayk Martirosyan playing on board 4 lost with black pieces.
After round 7 the Armenia team shares 6-8 positions with 9 points.
The Armenia women’s team won 2.5:1.5 Serbia. Lilit Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielyan had victories, Anna Sargsyan played a draw and Maria Gevorgyan suffered defeat. The Armenia women’s team shares the 3-5 positions with 9 points.
In the penultimate round the Armenia team will compete with Azerbaijan while the rival of the women’s team will be the leader of the championship, Russia.
