U23 World Championship: Arsen Harutyunyan loses bronze bout by touché

European current champion Arsen Harutyunyan suffered defeat in the bronze bout of the 61 kg weight class of the U23 Senior World Freestyle Wrestling Championship coming to an end in Budapest, Hungary.


For the bronze medal Harutyunyan wrestled with Russian Dinislam Takhtarov and lost 0:4 by touché in the first part of the bout.
The Armenian wrestler had started the competition from the 1/8 on 29 October and after having celebrated two wins had lost to Indian Ravinder Ravinder by touché in the semifinal. The Armenia team which had set off for the competition with 9 wrestlers ended its performance at the U23 World Championship without a medal.


At the U23 World Senior Championship Armenia will be represented by the following Greco-Roman wrestlers: Norayr Hakhoyan (55 kg), Armen Melikyan (60 kg), Slavik Galstyan (63 kg), Hayk Melikyan (67 kg), Hrant Kalachyan (72 kg), Vahe Poghosyan (77 kg), Arman Vardanyan (82 kg), Albert Yeghikyan (87 kg) and Davit Ovasapyan (130kg).
