European Games champions Artur Hovhannisyan at 52 kg and Hovhannes Bachkov at 63 kg started with a victory the World Boxing Championship underway in Yekaterinburg.
Artur Hovhannisyan at 52 kg won 5:0 Netherland’s Mohammad Algharaghil in the 1/16 final and qualified for the 1/8 final.
Hovhannes Bachkov at 63 kg gained advantage 4:1 over Thailand’s Somchai Vongsuvan and reached the 1/8 final too.
On September 14 Arman Darchinyan at 75 kg will spend his second bout.
Hrant Kalachyan at 72 kg will compete against Croatia’s Dominik Etlinger
The victory was celebrated by Robert Hovhannisyan and Hayk Martirosyan.
The training session will last from January 15 to 31
