FIBA has a new president

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has appointed Hamane Niang to a post of federation president instead of the Argentinian Horacio Muratore. 

All the delegates of 156 countries voted in favor of Mali’s representative at the 21st FIBA Congress held in Beijing, China.
The secretary general of the Basketball Federation of Armenia, Artur Nazaryan, also took part in the congress.

Hamane Niang has previously been a Vice President of FIBA, Mali Minister of Sport and president of the Mali Basketball federation.
