Gymnast Artur Davtyan placed 5th in the all-around final of the 2nd European Games.
On the 9th day of the European Games underway in Minsk the finals of the men’s artistic gymnastics all-around event took place where Artur Davtyan scored 83․632 points and came 5th.
Russia’s David Belyavskiy became a European Games champion with 85․465 points. Oleg Verniaiev (Ukraine) placed 2nd with 84.632 points and Russia’s another representative Vladislav Poliashov won a bronze medal (84.464 points).
Let us recall Artur Davtyan had overcome the all-around qualification round with the 2nd position scoring 83․231points.
On June 30 Artur Davtyan will participate in the finals of the floor exercise and vault while Vahagn Davtyan will compete for a medal in the rings final.
The 100 days countdown of the 2nd European Games expected in Minsk from June 21 to 30 has begun.
Last time the Armenian juniors participated in this age group of the European Championship in 2011
Armenia was represented by 13 athletes – six boys and 7 girls…
The championship was attended by 82 wrestlers in 10 weight classes.
