Boxer Gor Nersesyan (81 kg) won a bronze medal at the European Games being held in Minsk.
On the 8th day Nersesyan fought against British Benjamin Whittaker and suffered defeat 0:5.
So, the Armenian boxer became a bronze medalist.
Gor Nersesyan had started the struggle from the 1/16 finals where had defeated Kosovo’s Artit Delijaj. In the 1/8 final our athlete had taken advantage over Moldova’s Andrei Chiriacov and in the ¼ finals our athlete had defeated Turk Malkan Bayram.
Boxer Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) who also performed on June 28 conceded defeat in the semifinal.
Today Artur Hovhannisyan (49 kg) and Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kg) will compete too.
In the quarter-finals Armenia’s wrestler was defeated 2:3 by Belarus’s Omar Magomedov
