Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo to host Winter Olympic Games

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.

The place was chosen at the session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held in Lausanne.

Swedish capital Stockholm also claimed to host the Winter Olympic Games.

Italy has hosted the Olympic Games three times. The Winter Olympic Games 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo and 2006 Turino and the Summer Olympic Games Rome 1960 were held in this country.
