Minsk 2019: Gurgen Hovhannisyan commences with a win

The 2nd European Games kicked off in Minsk, Belarus.

The first competition day was started by the boxers.

Gurgen Hovhannisyan representing Armenia at the +91 kg weight category began the competition from the 1/16 finals where his opponent was Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Veletic Dusan.

The Armenian boxer won 3:2 and will continue the performance in the 1/8 finals where his rival will be Turk Ilyas Mucahit.

The 1/8 finals’ bouts of this weight class will take place on June 24.
