Second number of the Armenia chess team Gabriel Sargsyan has come 18th at the Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship held in the United Arab Emirates.
The Armenian GM gained 6 of 9 possible points and fell a point behind the winner, Ernesto Inarkiev (Russia). In the last 9th round playing with black pieces Gabriel Sargsyan shared the point with Indian Chakkravarthy Deepan.
The Sharjah Masters had brought together 178 chess players from 31 countries including 35 GMs.
The European Junior Championships will be held from November 19 to 29 in Kolobzhek, Poland.
