Armenia has 8 chess players at the European Individual Chess Championship

The European Individual Chess Championship where Armenia has 8 representatives kicks off in Skopje on March 18.

GMs Sergei Movsesyan, Hrant Melkumyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Arman Pashikyan, Hayk Martirosyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Manuel Petrosyan and international master Shant Sargsyan will perform in the Macedonian capital. 

Ashot Vardapetyan will be the chief arbiter of the European Championship. The championship has 357 participants including 142 GMs.
