Armenia national basketball team launches European Championship for Small Countries with victory

The Armenian national basketball team launched the European Championship for Small Countries with a victory.

The first opponent of the Armenian team was Moldova. After the first quarter Armenia was 7 points ahead of Moldova (18:11). The team maintained the gained advantage in the second quarter, too (41:30). In the third and fourth quarters Armenia, staying in the leading position, won 83:64 eventually.
Andre Spight Mkrtchyan stood out most of all during the match scoring 24 points.
Armenia will play the second match against Andorra’s team. The match is set for June 29th, at 14:15 (Yerevan time).
