The 1/8 finals bouts of the international tournament “Strandja” took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The only representative of Armenia who managed to reach the quarter-finals was European bronze medalist Aram Avagyan (56kg) who gained advantage over Georgia’s Merab Turkadze in all 3 rounds. In the quarter-finals Aram will compete with Dmitri Asanau of Belarus.
On February 25 two more boxers from Armenia will come out from the quarter-finals. Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg) will compete with Tinko Banabakov and Narek Manasyan (91kg) - with Christian Dimitrov. Both athletes represent Bulgaria.
