Lillehammer said goodbye to the young Olympians

The 2nd Winter Youth Olympic Games officially came to an end in Lillehammer, Norway.

The closing ceremony was held in a hall situated in the center of the Olympic village, and only athletes, official guests and volunteers were present on it. The rest town could watch the opening ceremony on the big screen set in the center of the town.

A video telling about the past 10 days was shown in the beginning of the ceremony. Afterwards, the International Olympic Committee President, Tomas Bach, passed the Olympic flag to the mayor of the city of Lausanne in Switzerland which will host the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

“If we all share the spirit of friendship, understanding and tolerance, then together we can make the world a better place”, the IOC President noted.

Armenia was represented by two athletes at the 2nd Winter Youth Olympic Games.
