U23 World Championship: Hovhannes Mkhitaryan loses second repechage bout

Armenia’s representative Hovhannes Mkhitaryan failed to win a medal in the 86 kg weight class of the U23 Senior World Freestyle Wrestling Championship coming to an end in Bucharest, Hungary.
In the first repechage bout the Armenian wrestler won 5:2 Polish Krzysztof Sadowik and in the second bout lost 2:5 to Moldova’s Gankhuyag Ganbaatar and left the competition.
On 29 October Hovhannes Mkhitaryan had started performing from the qualification round where he had lost 0:5 to Iran’s Kamran Ghorban. As the Iranian had reached the final the Armenian wrestler had got a chance to fight for bronze.
On 30 October European current champion Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg) will wrestle for a bronze medal. Other Armenian representatives have dropped out of the competition.
