Super heavyweight Arpine Dalalyan became the winner of the U20 European Weightlifting Championship underway in Bucharest, Romania. She was stronger than her rivals scoring a total of 234 kg. In the snatch Arpine lifted 100 kg and in the clean & jerk – 134 kg.
Tatev Hakobyan who performed in the 87 kg of the U23 competition won a silver medal. Scoring a total of 231 kg she fell only a kilo behind Moldova’s Elena Cilcic. In the snatch Tatev showed a 105 kg result and in the clean & jerk she pushed 125 kg.
