World Cup: Levon Aronyan and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave to determine the winner in tie-break

Levon Aronyan and French Maxime Vachier-Lagrave once again failed to derermine the winner in the second game of the quarterfinal of the FIDE World Cup underway in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. The Armenian GM was playing with black pieces.
The winner of this quarterfinal confrontation will become known in a tie-break which will take place on 25 September.
Let us recall three other representatives of Armenia have dropped out of the competition. Robert Hovhannisyan and Armenia’s current champion Arman Pashikyan failed to overcome the first round and Sergei Movsesyan lost to Chinese Ding Liren in the second round.
Levon Aronyan is the current winner of the FIDE World Cup.
