Minsk 2019: Maksim Manukyan suffers defeat in fight for bronze medal

The second competition day of the European Games is continuing in Minsk, Belarus.

Today the struggle was launched by samboists.

Armenia’s representative at 57 kg Maksim Manukyan suffered defeat in the fight for a bronze medal.

Manukyan conceded 1:9 to Azerbaijani Mehman Khalilov.

Maksim Manukyan had started the competition from the quarterfinals where celebrated a victory 10:1 over Ukrainian Ivan Pylpiak.

In the semifinals Maksim had lost 0:4 to Russia’s Khertek Sayan and got a chance to fight for bronze.

Earlier Asya Lalazaryan (48 kg) had lost the bout for bronze too.

Today David Grigoryan at 82 kg is going to wrestle against Russia’s Andrey Perepelyuk for a gold medal.
