Member of the Armenian Olympic team, weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan (77kg) who had dropped out of the competition due to an injury came to the weightlifting venue.
Today, on August 13 one of the front runners of the Armenian weightlifting team came to watch the performance of 85kg weight class weightlifters.
With modesty typical of him Andranik was sitting in the stands and following the performance when one of the volunteers noticed and recognized him and asked him to be photographed. Of course, Karapetyan didn't refuse.
As soon as the Armenian athlete stood up those who wanted to be photographed with him formed a long queue. People of different nationalities approached, took photos and wished him good health.
Karapetyan assured that he felt good, everything was normal with him and there was no need to be afraid or to despair. He also thanked the people who supported and helped him during these days
