Malkhas Amoyan – winner of Cadet European Weightlifting Championship

The Cadet European Championship is underway at the Swedish capital city of Stockholm.

Om July 23rd Greco-Roman wrestlers competed on the mat.

The final of the 69kg weight class was Armenian. Malkhas Amoyan and Albert Yeghikyan were fighting for the gold medal. After all Malkhas Amoyan became a European champion with a score of 9:0.

Before reaching the finals Amloyan had knocked out Germany’s, Russia’s, Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s athletes without conceding any point to the opponents (30:0).

Armeniaʼs team member Samvel Grigoryan (50kg) lost the final to a Georgian wrestler and became a silver medalist, and Artur Galstyan conquered bronze in the same weight class.

At cadet championships the United World Wrestling allows two athletes from every country to participate in the same weight class thereby promoting the development and dissemination of wrestling.

On July 24th wrestlers of 46kg, 54kg, 63kg, 76kg and100kg weight class wrestlers will compete.
