AIBA allows professional boxers to take part in Rio Olympics

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) allowed professional boxers to take part in the Rio Summer Olympic Games.

AIBA made such a decision during the conference held on June 1st where 84 delegates voted for the change.
The Rio 2016 boxing tournaments will be held in Barra. The boxing venue can host 9000 spectators. The Olympic boxing tournaments will last from August 6 till 21.
At the 31st Summer Olympics Armenia will be represented by boxers Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg), Narek Abgaryan (52kg), Aram Avagyan (56kg) and Vladimir Margaryan (69kg).
