Euro 2020: Armenia national team loses to Italy

In the 5th round of the Euro 2020 qualifying tournament the Armenia national team lost 1:3 to the Italy national team at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.

The score was opened in the 11th minute by Armenian team member, Russian Sochi’s forward Aleksandr Karapetyan who got the second yellow card in the added time of the first half and was sent off the pitch. After the first half the score was 1:1. The Italians scored the victorious goals in the last part of the match.

After this defeat Armenia retrieved on the 4th position with 6 points in Group J which is led by the Italy national team with 15 points.

The Armenia national will spent the next qualifying match on September 8 hosting the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
